Heidi Montag was dragged by fans for wearing the “world’s worst” wig on the AMAs 2025 red carpet.
On Monday night, the “Hills” alum hit the red carpet with her husband, Spencer Pratt, at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, debuting a new look.
Though Montag stunned in a blue bedazzled blue corset and matching pants designed by The Blonds, the “I’ll Do It” singer’s blunt bob caused quite a stir on social media.
“I’m choosing to believe Heidi Montag wore the world’s worst wig on purpose for attention. never change Speidi,” tweeted one user.
“heidi been serving so many great looks with her natural hair whyyyy did she need a wig? #AMAs,” added another.
“That wig from party city which is now closed,” joked a third user in Page Six’s comments section on Instagram.
“girl you have money for better wigs,” said another commentator.
“She looks great minus that thing on her head 🤦🏻♀️,” wrote a fifth netizen.
Another fan compared Montag, 38, to a “drag queen,” while a separate person said the wig was “giving Kim Zolciak” from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Page Six has reached out to Montag for comment but did not immediately hear back.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former MTV star dished on her new ‘do.
“We just thought, ‘Switch it up a little bit,’ and keep it fresh,” she said on the red carpet.
“I’ve never done this, so it’s very exciting and just a moment,” the “More Is More” songstress added.
Montag then teased that her long tresses would be back the following day like “magic.”
