World’s tallest apartment building will have 154 floors — and sky-high prices to match

A new supertall structure in Brazil is set to surpass NYC’s Central Park Tower as the world’s tallest apartment building — and its top floor units comes with sky-high price tags.

Soaring above the upscale Brazilian beach resort of Balneário Camboriú, the Senna Tower, said to be inspired by the life of Formula 1 racing legend Ayrton Senna, will rise more than 1,800 feet into the air — slightly higher than the Big Apple’s One World Trade Center.

Developers of the 154-floor project recently revealed new pricing for the tower’s most exclusive residences, Newsflash reported — and the numbers are staggering.

Balneário Camboriú has been called the ‘Dubai of Brazil,’ due to the skyscrapers that dot the coast line. Senna Tower will surpass all of them in both height and prices. NX

The costly complex will top out with two triplex penthouses, spanning 9,700 square feet apiece — each priced at a whopping $53 million. The new price tags are a dramatic leap from the original estimate of $15.92 million.

The triplexes will reportedly be sold by the British auction house Sotheby’s.

Ayrton Senna was a three-time world racing champion widely thought of as one of the greatest drivers in history. He achieved six Monaco Grand Prix victories, but tragically died at the age of 34 — during 1994’s San Marino Grand Prix.

His own niece, artist Lalalli Senna, helped craft the tower’s design, which is reportedly intended to symbolize the motor sports icon’s journey of overcoming challenges.

Senna Tower is being built to contain 228 units in total, including 204 apartments up to 4,300 square feet and 18 suspended ‘mansions,’ spanning 4,520 to 6,060 square feet. Even the tower’s tiniest residences will start around $5 million.

Four duplexes, each about 6,450 square feet, will also be on offer.

The project is a collaboration between the construction company FG Empreendimentos, the Senna family, and Brazilian retailer Havan. The estimated investment totals more than $525 million.

Construction is expected to be completed by 2033.

Senna Tower will join an already sizeable skyline in Balneário Camboriú, known as the Dubai of Brazil. Located in the the state of Santa Catarina, it has a strong reputation in South America as a desirable tourist destination.

And while the forthcoming project will set its share of records, the world’s most expensive apartment is currently in Monaco. There, the penthouse inside the exclusive European enclave’s Odeon Tower last sold for more than $335 million.
