Jalen Brunson’s memorabilia collection must be vast. There’s the Illinois state high school championship. Two NCAA titles. College Player of the Year. Clutch Player of the Year. All-Star Game appearances. Fifty-point NBA game. Sixty-point NBA game. Game-winner against the Pistons.
There should be trophies or basketballs or plaques or jerseys associated with all these performances.
And Brunson wants to be nowhere near them.
“For the longest time, whenever something’s accomplished, I’m moving forward to the next. It’s just how I’ve been,” Brunson said. “Dating back to high school, college championships, everything that I’ve ever won — there’s nothing in my house. Because I’m just looking forward to, ‘How can I be better?’ I give all the memorabilia to my parents. They can keep it. And when I’m done, I’ll look back and see everything.”
