CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Every year, 20 dreamers are part of the 156-player field at the PGA Championship.
They’re not PGA Tour pros, not members of the DP World Tour or Saudi-backed LIV Golf.
They’re club professionals, in many cases the teaching pros at golf courses around the country helping you and/or maybe your children to learn the game.
The top 20 who survived the 312-player field at the PGA Professional Championship in late April in Florida will compete for the Wanamaker Trophy at this week’s PGA Championship at Quail Hollow that begins on Thursday.
