Rick Pitino is putting together a blockbuster schedule for his top-ranked transfer class.
St. John’s had already been locked into the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, a three-game tournament featuring several of the country’s premier programs during Thanksgiving week, along with agreements to host Ole Miss at the Garden on Dec. 8 and face Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic in Atlanta on Dec. 20.
Now, they are adding to it, agreeing to face Alabama on Nov. 8 at MSG.
The two coaches, Pitino and Nate Oats, talked in recent years about playing one another, but it could never get done.
