At least 4 dead, including children, after car crashes into Illinois after-school day care: police

 

Four people, including children as young as 4 years old, were killed when a driver plowed through an Illinois after-school building Monday afternoon, police said.

The driver allegedly crashed into the side of the YNot program building in Chatham and drove right through it, smashing out the other side, cops said, according to ABC7 Chicago.

Four people were killed, and six others were rushed to area hospitals.

The fatal victims ranged in age from 4 to 18 years old, Illinois State Police said, according to First Alert 4.

The driver, who was not injured, was taken into custody at the scene.
