Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 will be about resetting the landscape of WWE heading into the rest of 2025 and potentially the biggest swerve of the weekend.
A year ago in Philadelphia, we saw five new champions crowned, and Saturday from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (7 p.m., Peacock) will have that feel again. Will Jey Uso finally become a world champion? Will Tiffany Stratton be forced to bow down to Charlotte Flair? Paul Heyman is walking in with CM Punk, but who does he walk out with?
Joseph Staszewski, The Post’s pro wrestling columnist, tries his best to predict what we will see on Night 1 of WrestleMania.
El Grande Americano over Rey Mysterio
Mysterio does not need the win, but Chad Gable as El Grande Americano is just three weeks old. WWE has invested a lot of quality screen time into the new persona. He’d get plenty of heat beating Mysterio and taking his mask off like he did Dragon Lee and begin a feud with the newly signed Rey Fenix. Americano came out to eliminate Fenix in the Andre the Giant battle royal on SmackDown. But I could see WWE taking the easy route and unmasking Gable and having him sell the “surprise” on the grand stage of WrestleMania.
