Juan Soto’s $765M deal, the biggest in sports history, contained nice perks such as the luxury suite, four premium tickets and awards bonuses ($500K for a first MVP, $1M for subsequent MVPs, etc.), but contrary to what’s on the internet, he does not receive plane flights, nor did anyone in his family receive clothes, according to a contract summary obtained by The Post.
The deal, interestingly, did also guarantee him uniform No. 22.
So, his gift of a $92K Chevy Tahoe to Brett Baty for 22 was nice but technically unnecessary.
The Orioles’ initial offer to Corbin Burnes was $180M for four years, as Roch Kubatko of MASN reported.
