The best friends had decided to conceive via in vitro fertilization and raise the little one together.

“No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing,” the “Invisible” singer told People in 2008.

At the time, Aiken had come out as gay because he did not want to “lie or hide things” from his child.

David, 75, gushed to AP Radio in 2009 about Aiken being a “spectacular father” to Parker.

“It made perfect sense to me that he’d want to have a child with his best friend,” the Grammy winner said of his sister, calling Jaymes a “natural mother.”

He described Parker’s parents, who met through “American Idol,” as “very close.”

Aiken and Jaymes have primarily kept their son out of the spotlight.

However, Parker made headlines for his TV debut on “Celebrity Family Feud” last year.

Aiken’s family competed against David and his wife Katharine McPhee’s family in the August episode.
