He’s not looking for love.
A fed-up resident of the historic West Village brownstone featured as Carrie Bradshaw’s pad in the hit HBO series “Sex and the City” was caught on video this week shooing away meddling tourists — telling them, “It’s not Carrie’s, it’s mine!”
“You can’t just take over the street,” the unidentified man said Monday in viral video posted by whatsthejam.com. “This happens all the time.
“I try not to do this but sometimes people cross the line and, I can’t,” he said. “Thank you so much for understanding, have a great day. And remember, this is not empty, it’s a private home, and it’s not Carrie’s, it’s mine.”
The tourists laugh off the man’s tirade, but it’s just the latest show of frustration with swarming fans at the building.
The Perry Street brownstone, which dates to 1866, was frequently featured as the home of the popular “Sex and the City” character portrayed on screen by actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
The show ran for six seasons on HBO before calling it quits in 2004, and spawned two feature films and the revival series “And Just Like That…” whose third season is set for this summer.
The show’s international popularity has made it the brownstone a popular destination for tourists who constantly pose for pics outside — and make life hell for residents.
The owner tried “no trespassing” signs, a chain across the front stoop, and even pleaded with the city to let him install a steel and cast-iron gate in an application to the Landmark Preservation Committee in January.
“My home is now a global tourist destination,” the owner wrote in the application. “The show is in endless reruns in 34 different languages, increasing an already massive fan base to my stoop from throughout the US and around the world.
“At any given hour of the day or night there are groups of visitors in front of the house taking flash photos, engaging in loud chatter, posting on social media, making TikTok videos, or just celebrating the moment.”
Nosy tourists have even tried to come in through the front door, the owners said.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the man in the recent video was an owner of the property or a frustrated tenant.
