President Trump is set to take a “victory lap” on his immigration crackdown in a “big” speech before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, as he delivers an unofficial State of the Union address.
Trump’s speech, beginning at 9 p.m. ET, is not technically a State of the Union because the president only started his term a month and a half ago. Still, there will be all the pomp and circumstance of a SOTU for the 47th president’s first major speech to the country since he was sworn into office in January.
