From “Monster’s Ball” to disco-ball.
Halle Berry lit up the Oscars 2025 red carpet on Sunday night in a sparkling strapless Christian Siriano gown.
While the show-stopping style’s almost entirely covered in cut-out mirror embellishments, it also features sheer side panels glittering with smaller crystals.
Berry kept the silver theme going with her accessories, completing the look with chain-link bracelets and rings and two sparkling diamond huggies — plus a pair of towering lucite heels.
The “Never Let Go” actress, 58, will be a presenter during tonight’s telecast, which will be hosted by Conan O’Brien at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Berry is forever a part of Academy Awards history as the first black woman to win the Oscar for best actress for her performance in “Monster’s Ball” in 2002.
Last year, the star rewore the same Elie Saab dress from the monumental moment for the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab runway show — 22 years after her historic win.
She’s since made a splash at the big awards show; In 2023, Berry wore a Tamara Ralph white halter gown with a daring high slit and glittering champagne-colored rosettes on the red carpet before she made history once again as she presented Michelle Yeoh the best actress award for her performance in “Everything Everywhere All At Once” in an emotional moment. Yeoh is the second woman of color to win in the category after Berry.
Berry expressed disappointment that she is still the only black woman to have won the accolade in a September 2024 interview with Marie Claire.
“I’m still eternally miffed that no Black woman has come behind me for that best actress Oscar, I’m continually saddened by that year after year,” the “Catwoman” actress said. “And it’s certainly not because there has been nobody deserving.”
This year, Cynthia Erivo is nominated for the second time in the category; she was nominated in 2019 for her performance as Harriet Tubman in the biopic “Harriet.” This time, the British actress is up for her role as Elphaba Thropp in the musical blockbuster “Wicked.”
Whatever happens, we know Berry will steal the show when she’s on stage.
