A$AP Rocky jumps into tearful Rihanna’s arms after being found not guilty in shooting trial

A$AP Rocky was overwhelmed with excitement after receiving his not guilty verdict in his shooting trial on Tuesday, as he was seen jumping into longtime girlfriend Rihanna’s arms upon hearing the news.

Video of the verdict announcement showed the “A$AP Forever” rapper — whose legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers — rushing over and embracing the tearful songstress.

The Fenty mogul, 36, sat with Rocky’s mother and sister inside the courtroom. The family was visibly emotional as the jury’s verdict was read to the court. He then embraced his attorney Joe Tacopina.

The “Diamonds” singer, who shares two kids with the 36-year-old, has shown her support for Rocky throughout the trial which began in late January.

Earlier this month, the hitmaker brought their sons RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 9 months, to the courthouse, showing a united front as a family unit. She also made an appearance at his trial in January, wearing one of her stylish looks.

Rocky was charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm as a result of his alleged 2021 altercation with his bandmate Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli.

Though he faced a potential 24 years in prison if found guilty, he maintained that he is innocent and pleaded not guilty to the two felony counts.

Prosecutors offered Rocky a plea deal that offered him 180 days behind bars, a seven-year suspended sentence, three years probation and 500 hours of community service.

As part of the agreement, prosecutors also asked that he entered a guilty plea to the charge of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. However, Rocky turned it down.

He also declined to testify on the stand during the trial. In his defense, Tacopina alleged to the court that the rapper had been carrying a “prop” starter pistol with him that only shot blanks.

Relli was not seriously injured during the scuffle and suffered only bloody scrapes on his knuckles.
