Black man cropped out of NY Mag’s ‘Cruel Kids’ hit piece speaks out: ‘They insinuate I was throwing some KKK kumbaya’

New York Magazine has been caught red-handed editing black people out of its coverage of a young conservative bash in Washington DC.

People of color — including, astonishingly, the party’s host — were cut from the print magazine cover picture and the narrative of the magazine’s story, titled “The Cruel Kids Table” about young conservatives celebrating Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

“It would have undermined this entire narrative that they wanted to perpetuate, which is that MAGA is some racially homogenous movement of people,” party host CJ Pearson told The Post.

The misleading move shows how the left’s previous hold on diverse voters is fracturing — and how they can’t handle that reality.

Pearson, a black 22-year-old political commentator, had co-hosted the bash with Raquel Debono to celebrate social media creators who helped Trump win re-election.

Rappers Lil Pump and Waka Flocka Flame showed up to Sax Lounge on January 19th — as did New York Magazine’s Brock Coylar to report.

When Coylar’s piece finally published on Monday, Pearson was astonished that he was not even mentioned. Only Debono, who is white, was named as host of the evening.

“It took willful ignorance to ignore the diversity that was present at the event as New York Magazine so clearly did, by… not even reaching out to me,” Pearson said.

The party itself was proof that non-white voters who the left have long taken for-granted are no longer Dems by default.

Pearson was particularly incensed by the Magazine’s print cover image which cropped an overhead shot of the crowd so three partygoers of color were just out of frame and the only non-white guest in the picture’s face was totally covered by the headline.

“They were wrong to crop the photo and insinuate that I was throwing some KKK kumbaya,” added Pearson, who feels the obfuscation of non-white guests was intentional.

NY Magazine said in a statement their “cover was cropped to the center of a picture that was published in full online, and we believe both the cover and story provide an accurate impression of the weekend.”

He sees it as proof the left are afraid of the fact more people like him are turning their back on the Democratic Party.

“President Trump was propelled back into the White House by a diverse coalition of Americans… and there were Black influencers at this party who were contributing factors to that success,” Pearson said.

Trump pulled off the best Republican showing with Black voters in 48 years in November. As voting blocs become less homogenous, Trump has embraced individualism, inviting voters to think for themselves in his camp.

School board moms, RFK supporters, onetime Bernie bros, Rogan listeners, college boys, disaffected TERFs, people fed up with rising grocery bills, and non-white voters all came together in a politically diverse coalition for Trump — and MAGA welcomed them with open arms. A new dawn and new direction for the Republican Party.

Meanwhile, Democrats adopted the exact opposite tactic: chastising voters — especially non-white voters — for thinking the “wrong” way. Who can forget when Biden told Black voters that they “ain’t Black” if they didn’t vote for him in 2020? Or when Obama recently tried to shame black men into voting for Kamala?

“Ironically, identity politics used to be the Democrats’ not-so-secret weapon,” GOP pollster Frank Luntz told The Post. “Now it is destroying them.”

By embracing political correctness, language policing, cancel culture, and an ever-narrowing, leftward-shifting set of “acceptable” views, the Democrats have left many voters behind.

Pearson’s party — filled with vibrant, young, and diverse faces — couldn’t have been a more uncomfortable reminder of this fact.

“Everyone in that picture is happy. They’re classy. They look good,” Pearson said. “[Whereas the article] is the definition of hating outside the club because you can’t get in.”

As they lose their reliable base, Democrats are showing their true colors: they celebrate diversity… insofar as diverse people conform politically. Diversity of opinion, on the other hand, makes them squirm.

The clouds of groupthink are parting. People are thinking for themselves. And the left just can’t stand it.
