A gated North Miami estate on Biscayne Bay that was once owned by two famed hoteliers is on the market for $12.99 million.
The sellers are Roslyn, NY, transplants David and April Reimer. The couple bought the contemporary home in 2021 for a then- North Miami record $10.6 million from Neil and Jennifer Sazant, the former owners of the historic Sagamore Hotel South Beach. They sold that iconic property in 2016 for $63 million.
The Sazants had scored a massive pandemic-era profit, as they had bought this home, at 1995 Northeast 118th Road, for $3.94 million in 2017, according to property records.
The modern Point Lot property in the San Souci Estates sits on 0.43 acres and comes with 260 feet on the bay. At 5,671 square feet, the home features five bedrooms, six bathrooms and is all about a modern indoor/outdoor lifestyle vibe. There’s also a one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage on the property.
The home, which was built in 1972 and renovated in 2015, opens to a foyer that leads to a sunlit great room with 20-foot-high ceilings and an open chef’s kitchen with water views.
The main bedroom suite takes up the upstairs level, with walk-in closet space and a spa-like marble bath.
Outside, the grounds boast a pool with water views, an outdoor kitchen and a covered loggia for alfresco dining. In addition, there’s a two-car garage, two docks, a boat lift and a second lift for Jet Skis.
