Scheana Shay once had a platonic sleepover with Reese Witherspoon’s ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum chatted about going out in Los Angeles when she was in her early 20s and recalled hanging out with Phillippe while her roommate dated his friend Jesse Bradford.
“He was single during the times that we were all hanging out,” Shay said on Friday’s episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast.
However, Shay, 39, quickly clarified that they “did not hook up.”
“There was a sleepover, but we did not hookup,” she divulged. “No, we were just friends.”
Shay clarified that she was about 22 or 23 years old when they hung out, and he was not dating Witherspoon at the time.
Phillippe, 50, began dating the “Legally Blonde” actress, now 48, in 1997 after meeting at her 21st birthday party and later working on “Cruel Intentions” together.
The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” actor wed the “Big Little Lies” actress in 1999, but they divorced in 2006.
The former couple share daughter Ava, 24, and son Deacon, 20, and have continued co-parenting over the years and frequently celebrate their kids’ milestones together.
Phillippe went on to date model Alexis Knapp, and they welcomed their daughter Kai together in 2011 while they had already broken up.
Witherspoon also moved on and wed Jim Toth in 2011, but they announced their divorce in 2023. The exes share son Landon, 11.
Since her divorce, she has been romantically linked to private equity financier Oliver Haarmann.
Meanwhile, Shay has been married to Brock Davies since August 2022, and they share 3-year-old daughter, Summer Moon Honey.
