Katie Holmes doubled down on slamming reports about her daughter Suri Cruise’s trust fund.
The “Dawson’s Creek” alum, 45, defended herself after a netizen made a snide comment on her post about the allegedly false story about her 18-year-old daughter’s inheritance on Sunday.
“Gosh the hardships you guys face. Hey are you worried if you can pay your rent AND eat this month? No? Yea me either 😅😅………. 🙄 I Wish these were my problems,” internet user @justontheinternets commented on the post.
“And look I get it, i honestly don’t begrudge you for being famous and working hard for your wealth,” the netizen continued. “I know you work hard and problems are problems no matter who you are. I can only assume, but you are a great mom.
“And anyone can see that. But I mean, big picture dear. A story in a rag media outlet, when there are moms in parts of this world who hope their daughters just survive the day. So Just perspective ❤️”
Holmes replied by admitting that she doesn’t “disagree” but that she still has to protect her child.
“In the world today, I don’t want a target on my child’s back. It’s dangerous,” she wrote.
Earlier in the day, the “First Daughter” actress blasted a headline posted by Daily Mail that read: “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too.”
Holmes denied the claim, by writing over the image that the headline was “Completely false.”
“Daily mail you can stop making stuff up,” the “Batman Begins” star added.
She then drove home her point in the caption of her post, writing, “Enough.”
Holmes shares the teenager with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, whom she was married to from 2006 to 2012.
Suri celebrated the milestone 18th birthday by popping out for a walk in the rain with her friend in New York City in April.
Page Six exclusively revealed earlier that month that Suri and her father have been estranged for years.
However; the Carnegie Mellon University student is extremely close with her mom and the duo share a tight bond.
“I feel very blessed to have such a special daughter. Being her mom is absolutely the greatest gift and privilege,” Holmes gushed in a 2017 interview.
