Five vehicles damaged in suspected arson in St-Léonard

Police said the fire happened on Champ d’Eau St. near Louis-Sicard St.

The Montreal police arson squad has been assigned to investigate after at least five vehicles and a section of a commercial building were damaged in a two-alarm fire in the borough of St-Léonard Monday night.

Police said the incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on Champ d’Eau St. near Louis-Sicard St., and that evidence was found at the scene suggesting the fire had been intentionally set.

There were no injuries reported and arson investigators were expected to examine the scene Monday morning.
