Panthers safety Sam Franklin Jr. sent a message to Buccaneers outside linebacker Jose Ramirez after Tampa Bay rallied back to beat Carolina in overtime on Sunday, 26-23.
Franklin was yelling for No. 33 (Ramirez’s jersey) and had to be held back by someone while he waited for the Bucs to exit the field, as seen in a video taken in the back hallways of Bank of America Stadium.
“Hey, tell 33 imma see his ass,” Franklin said as he pointed in the direction of some Tampa Bay players running through the tunnel. “On my grave, boy!”
Franklin was eventually escorted to the Panthers’ locker room.
It’s unclear what exactly transpired that led to the scene.
Tampa Bay receiver Sterling Shepard was also seen chirping in the direction of the Panthers’ locker room right after that, as seen in a separate video.
It’s unclear if the two moments were related.
It followed a dramatic ending to the Panthers-Bucs clash in overtime.
The Panthers were poised for a game-winning drive at Tampa Bay’s 34-yard line after Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin missed on a 55-yard field goal on the first possession of overtime.
After that, a fumble by Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard ruined Carolina’s chances when he was stripped of the ball by Buccaneers defensive lineman Anthony Nelson.
It was recovered by Bucs linebacker Yaya Diaby at Tampa Bay’s 29, which set up a deep run by Rachaad White.
McLaughlin delivered the game-winning 30-yard field goal to secure the win.
The Week 13 victory moved the Bucs into a first-place tie with the Falcons (6-6) atop the NFC South.
The Panthers, who dropped to 3-9 on the season, face the Eagles in Philadelphia (10-2) on Sunday.
