A 13-year-old boy was arrested while suffering the effects of bear spray in the food court at Midtown on Thursday afternoon.
Saskatoon police arrested a 13-year-old boy with a canister of bear spray at the Midtown mall on Thursday afternoon.
They arrived to find a teen boy “experiencing the direct effects of bear spray,” the release said.
“Further investigation determined that this male may be in possession of bear spray; a search of his person located a canister concealed in his pocket.”
The boy was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carrying of a concealed weapon and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
The release did not say whether anyone other than the suspect was affected by the spray.
