Norman John Cardinal, 38, and Jordan William Keenan-Quewezance, 28, are charged with second-degree murder in Saskatoon’s 12th homicide of 2024.
Two of four people charged in connection with the death of Saskatoon man Jordan Lee Morin appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Thursday.
Police say a suspicious death investigation began after officers were called about an injured person. Morin’s remains were found while officers were speaking to people inside the home.
Additional charges were laid against Cardinal on Nov. 12, while he was in custody on the murder charge. Court information shows he’s accused of “indecently interfere(ing) with and offer(ing) an indignity to the human remains of Jordan Lee Morin,” between Aug. 14 and Aug. 15.
All four accused remain in custody.
Morin’s death was the city’s 12th homicide this year.
The victim and accused knew each other, police said.
McGillivary and Smith remain in custody. Their cases were adjourned to Dec. 12 to secure lawyers.
