Heat and cold: Gun ownership soars among Republican women, declines among Dem men

Gun ownership among Republican women has soared in the last few years, according to a new survey.

Since 2019, 33% of GOP ladies have been packing heat – up from the 22% who said they owned a firearm in 2013-2018 and 19% who were strapped in 2007-2012, according to a recent Gallup poll.

“I think it’s phenomenal and speaks to the confidence and courage of women who are moved to protect themselves and their families in the face of the increasing lawlessness and disorder,” said Dana Loesch, former spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association and radio host of “The Dana Show.”

The percentage of Democratic men who own guns has declined significantly in recent years, from 36% in 2007-2012 to only 29% in the 2019-2024.
