City crews are working to repair a water main break in the north end of Saskatoon.
A probable water main break on Millar Avenue north of Circle Drive in Saskatoon is flooding the street and delaying drivers.
“Currently, water and ice are causing issue for motorists (and) traffic is backing up in the area,” the Saskatoon Police said in a news release shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening.
Police say city crews have been notified and “will be working to help resolve the problem.” In the meantime, police are asking drivers to stay out of the affected area if they can.
With frigid temperatures predicted overnight and a major snowstorm on the way, this weekend’s weather conditions may complicate and delay the repair efforts.
