Shoppers can’t get enough of Temu, which allows them to scroll through a never-ending array of bargain products and ‘shop like a billionaire’.

And now, Amazon is getting in on the action.

This week, the retail giant announced the launch of Amazon Haul, a new section set to rival competitors like Temu and Shein, dedicated to affordable, trending items.

Initially available in the US only, the outlet solely features products at ‘crazy low prices’. Not only is everything priced at $20 (£15.78) or less, the majority of buys sit at under $10 (£7.89), and some are as low as $1 (79p).

Unlike the company’s Prime offering, typical delivery times for this budget-friendly range are around one to two weeks.

However, purchases are still backed by Amazon’s A-to-Z guarantee, which ensures all items are safe, authentic, and in the condition expected. Orders over $3 (£2.37) are also eligible for free returns within 15 days.

Haul, on the Amazon app or website, has its own shopping experience, search, cart, and checkout, which means customers can scroll through the curated selection and build a separate basket.

As the name suggests, it’s designed for ‘hauls’, so orders of $25 (£19.73) or more qualify for free delivery, but a shipping fee of $3.99 (£3.15) is added to smaller orders.

Additionally, to encourage shoppers to up the ante, Amazon will take 5% off orders $50 (£39.45) and over, and 10% off orders $75 (£59.18) or more.

Browsing the page, you’ll find all sorts on offer: a festive table runner for $2.99 (£2.36), an iPhone 16 case for $1.79 (£1.41), a necklace, bracelet, and earring set for $2.99 (£2.36), and a two-pack of kitchen tongs for $4.99 (£3.94).

‘Finding great products at very low prices is important to customers, and we continue to explore ways that we can work with our selling partners so they can offer products at ultra-low prices,’ said Dharmesh Mehta, vice president of Worldwide Selling Partner Services at Amazon.

‘Amazon Haul aims to help make shopping for fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics, and other products even more fun, easy, and affordable… It’s early days for this experience, and we’ll continue to listen to customers as we refine and expand it in the weeks and months to come.’

Whether Haul will come to the UK likely depends on how this ‘beta’ launch does across the pond.

An Amazon spokesperson tells Metro: ‘At this time, Amazon Haul is available to US based customers, and we’ll listen to customers as we consider any further expansion.’
