A powerful CEO played by Nicole Kidman lives in the penthouse duplex at 200 Amsterdam in “Babygirl” — a new erotic thriller about power and seduction that hits theaters on Christmas Day.
Until then, readers can get a peek of Kidman’s fictional digs, a residence where Kieran Culkin’s character, Roman Roy, also lived in HBO’s hit series “Succession.”
What’s more, cameras have also been in and out of the building — and the penthouse — recently to film the second season of “Owning Manhattan,” the hit Netflix series starring Ryan Serhant and his crew of top brokers.
The dwelling is now asking $34.99 million, down from its $38 million ask last year.
The apartment is on the 49th and 50th floors of 200 Amsterdam on the Upper West Side. The 52-story tower, between West 69th and West 70th streets, is the tallest in the area.
It’s also the most controversial. After local activists challenged the building’s height, which is out of whack with the neighborhood — claiming developers used a zoning loophole to build higher than allowed — a judge ordered developers SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America to chop 20 stories off the structure. The ruling was overturned by a New York State appeals court in 2021.
The 6,347-square-foot penthouse comes with four bedrooms, terraces, and panoramic views of Central Park and the Hudson River. The home opens from a private elevator vestibule through double doors to a foyer overlooking Central Park. It leads to an open living room with a wet bar, while the southern wing features a formal dining room, an eat-in chef’s kitchen and a “bonus” room that can be used as a home office or gym. Details also include floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak floors and 10-foot ceilings.
All four bedrooms are on the 50th floor. The primary suite features a walk-in closet, a built-in bar and a windowed ensuite spa-like bathroom. The building was designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects with interiors by CetraRuddy. Amenities include a spa with a 75-foot saltwater pool, a gym, a yoga and Pilates studio, a golf simulator, a massage treatment room, a meditation room, steam rooms and infrared saunas.
There’s also a club floor with a private lounge and dining room, a landscaped terrace, a library, a study, private meeting rooms, music practice rooms and a children’s playroom. Common charges are $12,717 a month.
