Brian Daboll furious after Daniel Jones’ failed play in Giants’ ugly first half vs. Panthers

Brian Daboll might be losing patience with Daniel Jones.

The Giants coach was downright furious with his quarterback for not pulling the trigger on a flea flicker during the first half of the Giants’ game against the Panthers in Germany, per the NFL Network broadcast.

On 3rd-and-1 at the Giants’ 49-yard-line, Jones was sacked by D.J. Wonnum.

But the play only happened when Jones hesitated and didn’t get rid of the ball despite having receiver Wan’Dale Robinson wide open down the field while rookie wideout Malik Nabers created separation too.

It was a miserable half for Jones and the Giants’ offense.

Jones completed 6-of-14 passes for 54 yards and tossed an interception deep in Carolina territory off a deflection.

Big Blue didn’t score against one of the worst defenses in the NFL over the game’s first 30 minutes.

The Panthers led at the break, 10-0, just the second time they have led at halftime all year.
