Charlamagne tha God admits Trump ‘speaks to people’s grievances better’ than Democrats

Charlamagne tha God admitted on Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump “speaks to people’s grievances better” than Democrats, who he said seem to be way “out of touch” with Americans.

The prominent podcast host delivered a stern message to Dems hours after Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in a landslide, pointing to soaring inflation and the porous southern border as two major issues that swung the election for Trump.

“I know today Democrats are going to be looking for someone to blame. Let me be the first to tell you it’s not just one thing. I personally feel like Donald Trump speaks to people’s grievances better than Democrats do,” he explained on “The Breakfast Club.”

“I know people are going to talk about misinformation and the dumbing down of society, I understand all of that, but you don’t have to be intelligent to know you can’t pay your bills. You don’t have to be intelligent to know you can’t afford groceries.”

Charlamagne, an oft-critic of Trump, said tens of millions of voters that backed the 45th president felt better financially when he was in office for four years than under the Biden-Harris administration.

He asserted Trump tapped into all of the “worse things American had to offer.”

“I truly believe most people voted for him because they want more money in their pocket,” Charlamagne said.

Charlamagne, who has claimed Trump is a “fascist,” welcomed Harris on his show during the homestretch of the campaign where she bashed her GOP opponent, but was also pressed on the border – an issue Charlamagne raised again on Wednesday.

He insisted Democrats were too late to address the large influx of migrants coming across the border and landing in major cities.

“I know the border is a bipartisan issue, but Democrats spent a lot of time acting like it wasn’t an issue,” he said.

“Democrats created sanctuary cities, Democrats told them to come on in meanwhile Republicans were putting migrants on buses and planes and sending them to those sanctuary cities and Democrats had to change course but it might have been too little too late.”

He said voters resented seeing billions going toward the care of migrants and not directed at communities across the country and people living on the streets.

“You don’t have no money in your pocket, you don’t know how you’re going to pay your bills, you’re facing eviction,” Charlamagne said.

“Listen, I’m not saying Trump is gonna fix all of that, all I’m saying is Donald Trump has made people feel like he will fix all of that in a way that Democrats haven’t.

“Once again, don’t just chalk it up to racism, sexism,” he added. “OK, I believe those things played a role, but at the end of the day it’s the economy, stupid and Democrats might just be really out of touch with what everyday Americans are feeling.”
