Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested after showing up late to court — violating terms of his prison release

Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested again Tuesday — because he was an hour late to his scheduled court appearance in Manhattan.

The rainbow-haired rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is accused of allegedly violating the terms of his release from prison following his conviction on gang crimes.

The rapper was indicted on racketeering charges in 2018 and cut a plea deal.

He had been scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. court hearing Tuesday but after allegedly showing up an hour late, Judge Paul Engelmayer ordered that he be rearrested on the grounds he broke the terms of his release.

Tekashi was scheduled to appear in Manhattan federal court at 1:30 p.m.

The 28-year-old Brooklyn native was released from prison in 2020 and placed on supervised release following his guilty plea to charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder in the case against his gang the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The embattled snitch — who testified against the gang at trial and was sentenced to just two years behind bars — was arrested in the Dominican Republic for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Yailín la Más Viral, in January.

As part of his sentencing, Tekashi had to remain on supervised release for five years which includes the condition of not committing additional crimes.

Tekashi’s lawyers didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
