Our reporter, Larissa Kurz, will be at Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck’s headquarters in Regina as the election results come in.
Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck is sticking close to home — and her home constituency — on election night and will be at her party’s Regina headquarters watching the results come in.
Since the writ dropped on Oct. 1, Beck has travelled around Saskatchewan promoting her party and its platform.
When it comes to affordability, the NDP has promised that it would not raise taxes and it would remove PST on items like children’s clothing. On education, the party has promised to hire hundreds of teachers and educational assistants and reduce class size. On health care, the party has promised to hire and retain more medical professionals and put more money into mental health and addictions services.
Beck has said that if the NDP forms government, it will bring in a six-month fuel tax cut on Day 1 to provide “relief on the cost-of-living immediately.”
Polls close at 8 p.m. Keep checking back for updates as results roll in.
