The New York Yankees‘ backs are against the wall.
After going down 2-0 in heartbreaking fashion in Los Angeles, Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and co. are returning to the Bronx for games three through five of the World Series against Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers at Yankee Stadium.
“No one said it’s going to be easy,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “It’s a long series, and we need to make it a long series now. We won’t flinch. We’ve just got to keep at it.”
Game three takes place on Monday, Oct. 28. Clarke Schmidt is slated to start for the Yanks; Walker Buehler will take the mound for LA.
Luis Gil toes the rubber for the Yankees in game four on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Dave Roberts has yet to announce a starter at the time of publication.
A hypothetical game five goes down at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
And, since the Bronx Bombers are in the hole, ticket prices have dropped precipitously for all Yankee Stadium home games since our team last reported on how much they cost before the World Series began.
Back then, the lowest price we could find on seats was $1,113 before fees on Vivid Seats.
At the time of publication, tickets start at $585 before fees.
For those without a calculator on hand, that’s a whopping $528 (!) in savings. Not bad considering this series is far from over (and it ain’t over ’til it’s over).
