So the Jets trade for Davante Adams didn’t have the instantaneous impact that everyone and their mothers unanimously thought that it would.
What it also didn’t impact was Garret Wilson’s target volume.
In fact, Wilson tied Adams in targets from Aaron Rodgers against the Steelers.
While doing so, he also snagged two more catches, doubled Adams’ total yardage and averaged better than two more yards per catch.
Sure, it was only Adam’s first game plugging into this crowded offense, but it was his 120th game with Rodgers throwing him the football.
In other words, despite media attention on the Rodgers-Adams reunion, Wilson’s talents remain an undeniable key piece of moving the ball downfield in this receiving corps.
Between the former AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year’s total receptions or yardage prop against the Patriots on Sunday, I can’t help but feel zealous about both.
Though if I’m to prioritize the better value, I like Wilson to reel in over 5.5 balls at Gillette Stadium.
Upon doing some line shopping, I found his receptions prop at a peculiar 4.5 available for a steep price at FanDuel.
Considering he’s hit that in six of seven games — including the five he caught versus New England just over a month ago — it’s not worth the bait.
So you might as well add a catch and take Wilson for plus money at BetMGM in a get-right game for the Jets.
In the 24-3 rout Sept. 19, Rodgers carved up the Patriots secondary for a 77 percent completion rate and achieved 10 more passing first downs than both Pats quarterbacks.
As per Pro Football Reference, the Pats are allowing a bottom-ten mark amongst the NFL in both receptions and yards per game to receivers.

Wilson caught one of his three scores on the campaign in the previous New England game.
You can bank on the Jets invading the red zone once or twice on Sunday with Wilson getting his looks — he’s caught eight of 14 red zone targets, the most of any receiver.
The Jets offense hasn’t made the most of its star-studded potential, though if anyone has provided consistency to the group, it’s Wilson.
The play: Garret Wilson Over 5.5 Receptions (BetMGM, +110)
