One Netflix feature allows you to request your favourite TV shows – but you can’t find it on the app.
When you’re looking for a new series and begin scrolling through Netflix to find your next binge, the choice seems endless.
But there are, of course, a host of favourites which you can’t find on the hugely popular app.
The Wire, Dallas, Luther and Sherlock, to name a few.
One Netflix feature though, which is little known, allows customers to request that their favourite show be added to the streaming service.
The feature is called Request Tv Shows or Movies, and you can only find it on Netflix’s website.
Customers can request up to three shows at a time.
Netflix will then take your choices into consideration and decide whether the shows you’re craving will be made available.
The company says: ‘If you’ve already submitted a request, ryou can sit back and relax – we’ve received your feedback.’
Customers won’t get a response from Netflix regarding their request, but may get a welcome surprise further down the line when their favourite show pops up on their Netflix suggested shows.
They said: ‘We can’t respond to individual requests, but you can keep up on new titles coming to Netflix by following us on social media and signing up for our ‘Now on Netflix’ emails.’
There are, of course, no guarantees your request will be fulfilled given that other streaming services have exclusive rights to specific shows and films.
Customers are more likely to have their request approved if they want a show that was once removed from Netflix re-added.
