Get into the Halloween spirit: Five things to do this weekend in Saskatoon, Oct. 25-27

Take in a children’s play, a seniors’ variety show, campus haunts for all ages, classical music and a musical highlighting women in history.

Halloween is just around the corner and the spooky events are coming out just in time.

1 — Support local theatre

2 — Vote in an annual variety show

3 — Explore some ghosts of Saskatoon’s past

Hear some of the sinister tales of misfortune and learn about the most haunted buildings on campus during the annual Ghost Tour, a 90-minute guided walking tour around campus. The event may not be suitable for anyone under 12, and a parental waiver will be required for younger participants.

For a more family-friendly Halloween event, the Children’s Spooky Tour and Scavenger Hunt explores some campus ghosts and pranks in a 30-minute tour. It also includes a visit to the Diefenbaker Exhibit Gallery and a spooky game of I Spy, complete with tricks and treats. Costumes are recommended.

4 — Hear a contrasting classical music pairing

5 — Don’t miss a history-inspired musical
