Dave Portnoy has got Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s back.
In the wake of LaPaglia’s stunning split from country singer Zach Bryan — who confirmed their breakup Tuesday — Barstool Sports founder Portnoy took to X and shared the cutting Taylor Swift track, “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”
“Dedicating this to @BChickenfry,” Portnoy, a dedicated Swiftie, wrote alongside the lyric video for the 2024 song off of Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
The song, which is speculated to be about Swift’s ex, The 1975’s Matty Healy, features lyrics such as, “You didn’t measure up, In any measure of a man,” and appeared to be a not-so-veiled shot at Bryan, 28, whose relationship with LaPaglia became public last summer.
“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” Bryan wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories.
“She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her.”
Bryan added how he “had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things.”
“I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways. I am not perfect and never will be,” he posted. “… With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
LaPaglia, 25, who cohosts the “BFFs” podcast with Portnoy and Josh Richards, said in a separate message that she was “feeling really blindsided” and was going to take a breather from social media.
“When I’m ready I’ll be back and ready to talk,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be okay.”
LaPaglia reiterated her intentions to step away to process the matter in a near-four-minute video shared on YouTube.
“I’m at the point where it’s like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally, like, through stuff that you shouldn’t, because you just love them and you want them … like you see the good in them,” LaPaglia said through tears.
“… How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded of in a few days. It’s really, really heartbreaking.”
LaPaglia, who said the split occurred Monday, added she appreciates the kind messages she has received.
“I’m going to be okay, I’m going to be fine, I’m just really, really hurt right now,” she said.
