Andy Dalton and his family were involved in a car accident on Tuesday, according to a report from WSOC-TV Charlotte.
The Panthers quarterback was in the car with his wife Jordan, three kids and dog when they got into a crash in South Charlotte.
No one in the car was transported by paramedics, the outlet reported.
The Panthers confirmed the incident and told WSOC-TV that Dalton was being evaluated by team personnel.
Dalton, a 14-year NFL veteran, took over for the struggling Bryce Young as the Panthers’ starting quarterback in Week 3.
In six games (five starts) this season, Dalton has thrown for 989 yards with seven touchdowns and six interceptions.
The Panthers won their first and only game of the season in Dalton’s first 2024 start on Sept. 22, beating the Raiders 36-22.
It’s otherwise been a miserable season for Carolina, which is tied with the Patriots and Browns for the worst record in the NFL at 1-6.
The Panthers were blown out by the Commanders, 40-7, on Sunday.
Dalton, 36, had perhaps his worst game of the season in that game, throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns with just 93 yards through the air.
Before Tuesday’s scary news, Carolina head coach Dave Canales confirmed Dalton would be the team’s starting quarterback when they take on the Broncos on Sunday in Week 8.
