Accused sex-trafficker and former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries was cut loose from court Tuesday after posting a staggering $10 million bond — and grinned for the cameras as he strolled off.
Jeffries looked as if he hadn’t a care in the world as he walked out of federal court in West Palm Beach, Fla., with his legal team, all smiles and looking pure A&F in a pair of preppy white shorts and a navy sweater with a polo.
The 80-year-old is accused of wielding “power, wealth and his influence” to traffic male models for his sexual pleasure across more than a decade while he ran the fashion powerhouse.
Jeffries’ “romantic partner’’ and alleged cohort in crime Matthew Smith, 61, also had a court hearing in Florida on Tuesday on the same sex-trafficking and prostitution raps and was ordered detained. He is British.
A third defendant in the explosive case, James Jacobson, 71 — who is accused of recruiting the other men’s victims and then sexually ”trying them out” beforehand — appeared in court in St. Paul, Minn., and was freed on $500,000 bond.
The feds requested that both he and Jeffries be relegated to home detention with ankle monitors.
