Cheryl Hines was out and about over the weekend following reports of her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s alleged “personal relationship” with writer Olivia Nuzzi.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star was spotted without her wedding ring last month; however, she opened up about their marriage during an event over the weekend in Los Angeles.

“There has to be a connection, a connection that you look at your husband or your partner and all the crazy going on around you or you look and you check in and it’s like, ‘OK. It’s going to be OK. We’re going to move through this moment,’” she told Us Weekly.

“And, you know, a lot of times it’s funny and you can lean over and say, ‘This is crazy balls,’ and have a moment together and then hold your head up high and go to the next thing.”

Hines and RFK Jr. have been married since 2014.

New York Magazine confirmed that Nuzzi is leaving the publication after she allegedly had a “personal relationship” with Kennedy while covering the 2024 presidential campaign.

“Nuzzi is a uniquely talented writer and we have been proud to publish her work over her nearly eight years as our Washington correspondent,” it concluded. “We wish her the best.”

Last month, Nuzzi was placed on leave after telling editors she had “engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject,” but did not name the 70-year-old.

“During that time, I did not directly report on the subject nor use them as a source,” she added. “The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.”

A spokesperson for Kennedy, who is married, told the Times he “only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece.”

RFK ended his run for president in August.
