A Long Island judge was killed in a motorcycle crash in Yaphank on Sunday evening, local cops said.
Nassau Supreme Court Justice Dawn Jimenez-Salta, 60, was riding on the back of a 2007 Harley-Davidson that collided with a car on the Long Island Expressway at just after 5:30 p.m., Suffolk County police said.
The bike crashed with a Lexus near Exit 68, sending the car lurching forward into an Audi, police said.
The driver of the Harley, 65-year-old Frederick Fischer of Bay Shore, was seriously injured and transported to Stony Brook University Hospital.
Jimenez-Salta was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue but did not survive.
No other injuries were reported from the crash.
Jimenez-Salta was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she first started her career on the Kings County Housing Court in 1999.

“Justice Jimenez was a dedicated public servant who upheld the values of fairness and justice throughout her career, spanning from New York City to Long Island. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.”
