Fifty looks good on Eva Mendes.
The “Hitch” actress celebrated her milestone birthday in March, and according to a recent interview with The Times UK, she still feels “f—king sexy at times,” partly thanks to Ryan Gosling, with whom she shares two children.
“The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’” she told the outlet.
“That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.”
She continues, “There’s so many things that can make me feel sexy and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not. I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.”
Mendes also admitted to dabbling in various cosmetic procedures over the years.
“I’m not afraid to try things that are safe, because most of these little treatments, let’s say, are reversible,” she says. “If you get Botox, it goes away if you don’t like it. There have been times where I’ve regretted something … and then you just wait it out.”
Lately, the “Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries” author says she’s noticed her jaw looking “funky” and is considering getting a laser treatment with the latest technology.
Overall, she’s embracing this new life chapter after her milestone birthday.
“It was totally fine. It’s just that number sounds crazy,” she notes about the big day back in March. “I feel like a girl inside and I’m like, ‘oh my God,’ I’m not a girl any more.”
Mendes does, however, feel a bit more spacey at this age, adding, “I forget everything. I think that’s part of being 50. I think I’m looking down the barrel of hormonal changes.”
Since tying the knot in 2016, Mendes and Gosling have kept their relationship relatively out of the spotlight.
And the same could be said for their two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, who are home schooled. Social media and smartphones are also forbidden for the sisters, according to the interview.
“Putting my kid on the internet and being like, ‘Oh, search something,’ that to me is equivalent to telling her, ‘Oh, just go down the street in the middle of the night. You’ll be fine,’” Mendes says during her interview. “I know that sounds extreme, but that’s what I feel.”
