She was born to make herself happy.
Britney Spears joked she said “I do” again after her divorce from Sam Asghari.
“The day I married myself,” the Princess of Pop captioned a throwback video on Instagram Sunday of herself wearing a white silk nightgown and a lace veil in the living room of her $7.4 million mansion in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
“Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!” she added.
Spears, 42, settled her divorce from Asghari, 30, in May after less than two years of marriage.
Page Six reported at the time that the former personal trainer, who filed for divorce in August 2023, walked away from their union with nothing because he and the Grammy-winning multimillionaire had signed an “iron-clad” prenuptial agreement in her favor.
Spears and Asghari met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016 and got engaged in September 2021.
After a Los Angeles judge terminated Spears’ 13-year conservatorship in November 2021, the “Toxic” singer wed the actor at her home in June 2022 in front of celebrity guests including Madonna, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore and Selena Gomez.
Asghari was Spears’ third husband.
The “Crossroads” star infamously eloped with her childhood friend Jason Alexander in January 2004 during a drunken night out in Las Vegas, only to have the marriage annulled 55 hours later.
That October, Spears walked down the aisle again with former backup dancer Kevin Federline following a whirlwind romance.
The “Oops! … I Did It Again” singer and Federline welcomed two sons, Sean Preston, now 19, and Jayden James, now 18, before divorcing in July 2007.
Spears is currently dating her former housekeeper Paul Soliz.
