Vehicles have been torched three days in a row on one Ahuntsic street

Two vehicles in the latest incident were heavily damaged by the flames, Montreal police say.

Another car was set on fire in Montreal’s Ahuntsic district early Monday, the third such incident to occur in the neighbourhood in three days.

All three incidents occurred on Louisbourg St., with the latest event happening at 1 a.m. near Grenet St.

“When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw a parked vehicle on fire and the fire had spread to a second vehicle behind it,” said Montreal police spokesperson Mariane Allaire Morin.

A fire had also been set in a trash bin on Grenet St.

No suspect was found in the area and, given the similar circumstances of the previous two incidents, the investigation was assigned to the arson squad.

Both vehicles in the latest incident were heavily damaged by the flames, police said.

Vehicles parked on Louisbourg St. were set on fire early Saturday and early Sunday.
