Police are treating the deaths as suspicious and say all hypotheses are being considered.
The Sûreté du Québec is investigating after three bodies were found Saturday morning in Nouvelle, a municipality in the Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine region.
Around 8:30 a.m., police officers from the Avignon MRC were called to a forested area near chemin de Brébeuf, where three people were found unconscious in a vehicle.
Provincial police are treating the deaths as suspicious and say all hypotheses are being considered at this stage.
Investigators from the SQ’s major crimes unit, as well as a forensic identification technician, were dispatched to the scene to determine the cause and circumstances of the deaths.
The investigation is continuing in collaboration with the coroner’s office.
