Davante Adams’ hamstring looks like it won’t keep him out of Jets’ Week 7 matchup

Jets fans won’t have to wait long for Davante Adams to make his debut in green and white.

The newly acquired wide receiver is planning on making his Jets debut on Sunday night when they travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter

This comes after Adams had missed the three previous games for the Raiders due to a hamstring injury before news broke that the disgruntled receiver would be reunited with former teammate Aaron Rodgers in the Big Apple.

The Jets sent a conditional third-round pick to the Raiders that can become a second-round selection in exchange for Adams.

The newest member of the organization also restructured his contract in order to lower his salary cap hit to $3.21 million and add two voidable years to the deal, Schefter also reported

News that Adams had wanted out of Las Vegas became public earlier this month, and speculation immediately began around the idea that he would want to come to New York.

Adams had spoken glowingly about quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who previously played with the wideout in Green Bay.

Adams took a red-eye flight to New Jersey to be at the Jets’ facility to go through a physical early Tuesday morning, as the parameters of the deal seemed to have already come together.

He also made a surprise appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” while Rodgers did his weekly spot with the ESPN program.

“We’re back man, we’re back,” Adams said while standing next to Rodgers.

Adams also mentioned that he was “feeling great” regarding his injury and that he had been working with training staff with the Raiders.

“They got me back right and fortunately I’ll be able to roll,” he said.

The Jets are 2-4 on the season after a brutal loss to the Bills on “Monday Night Football.”
