Amari Cooper is headed to Buffalo.
The Bills acquired the veteran wide receiver and a 2025-sixth-round pick from the Browns on Tuesday for a 2025 third-rounder and 2026 seventh-rounder, according to multiple reports.
Cooper, a five-time Pro Bowler, has 24 catches for 250 yards with two touchdowns this season for the Browns.
Over 10 NFL seasons, Cooper, 30, has 62 touchdown catches and nearly 10,000 yards through the air.
The trade comes just hours after the Bills’ divisional rival Jets added to their wide receiver corp, trading for Raiders pass-catcher Davante Adams.
The Bills moved to 4-2 after a 23-20 win over the Jets at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.
They’re currently 1 1/2 games clear of the Dolphins for first-place in the AFC East.
The Browns’ season, on the other hand, is headed the opposite way.
Cleveland fell to 1-5 after a loss to the Eagles on Sunday, which is tied with the Patriots, Jaguars and Panthers for the worst record in the NFL.
Buffalo apparently saw a need to get quarterback Josh Allen another option in the passing game after the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis over the offseason.
Khalil Shakir, who has 20 catches for 249 yards through five games, emerged as Allen’s top target during the early going, but the team remained thin at the position otherwise.
Buffalo marks the fourth stop and third trade of Cooper’s career.
During the 2018 season, Cooper was traded from the Raiders to the Cowboys.
Before the 2022 season, Cooper was again dealt from Dallas to Cleveland.
