Vexed by taunts about his own medical situation, former President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris’ allergies could prevent her from serving effectively.
“I have just seen Kamala’s Report, and it is not good,” Trump, 78, jabbed on Truth Social just after midnight.
“She also has ‘allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis,’ a very messy and dangerous situation. These are deeply serious conditions that clearly impact her functioning,” the 45th president added. “Maybe that is why she can’t answer even the simplest of questions asked by 60 Minutes, and others.”
On Saturday, Harris’ vice presidential office released a two-page summary of her medical situation, which gave her a clean bill of health.
Dr. Joshua Simmons noted that Harris, 59, has “well-managed” seasonal allergies that she treats with Allegra, Atrovent nasal spray and Pataday eyedrops.
Allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis are medical vernacular for hay fever and itchy and watery eyes.
More than 100 million people in the US experience some type of allergy, according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
Trump also highlighted Simmons’ mention of Harris treating hives with Allegra.
“According to her Doctor’s Report, she suffers from ‘urticaria,’ defined as ‘a rash of round, red welts on the skin that itch intensely, sometimes with dangerous swelling,’” Trump said.
“What is this all about? I don’t have these problems,” he later added.
Harris and her campaign have sought to throw shade at Trump for not divulging more details about his medical condition.
“He refuses to release his medical records,” Harris chided at a Sunday rally in North Carolina. “I’ve done it. Every other presidential candidate in the modern era has done it.”
The Trump-Vance campaign immediately blasted out links to a glowing health memo from Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, that dropped shortly after the July 13 assassination attempt against the former president.
Trump’s campaign also pointed to a letter from his physician Dr. Bruce Aronwald, put out in November 2023.
“She is dying to see my Cholesterol (which is 180!), I have already provided them, many times, including quite recently, and they were flawless,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I’ve put out more Medical Exams than any other President in History, and aced two Cognitive Exams (the Doctor stated that my ‘cognitive exams were exceptional!’). I am far healthier than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, but especially, Kamala,” he later added.
Hours later, Trump revisited Harris’ health and heavily insinuated that her medical condition should preclude her from campaigning for the presidency.
“Kamala’s Medical Report is really bad. With all of the problems that she has, there is a real question as to whether or not she should be running for President! MY REPORT IS PERFECT – NO PROBLEMS!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The bickering between Trump and Harris over each other’s medical records comes as the vice president’s team has begun angling to question the former president’s mental acuity.
“Americans should get to see what ailments Trump suffers from, and if they are worse than seasonal allergies, which he thinks are ‘dangerous'[.] He could clear that up pretty easily by just releasing his medical records,” Harris-Walz campaign senior adviser Ian Sams fired back on X.
Should Trump win the presidency and serve out a full term, he’d break Biden’s record to be the oldest president in US history.
