Odyssée-des-Jeunes Secondary School, a high school in Laval’s Auteuil neighbourhood, is in lockdown after the school received a threatening call Tuesday morning, Laval police say.
The school received the call at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a spokesperson told The Gazette. She said the identity of the caller is unknown and declined to share what was said over the phone.
The school immediately went into a preventive lockdown, the spokesperson said, meaning students and staff must stay in their classrooms until the lockdown is lifted when police have secured the school.
Laval police are on site. A Laval police spokesperson said there isn’t a timeline for when the school will be considered secured.
The school has informed parents, she said.
