Short shorts are not for Harrison Ford.

In an interview with GQ, the long-time actor, who stars in Apple TV+’s “Shrinking,” reacted to a polarizing outfit he wore at the Cannes Film Festival in 1982.

“This is GQ, so I have to ask you one fashion question,” interviewer Gabriella Paiella said during their chat.

“There’s this photo of you at the Cannes Film Festival in 1982, where you’re wearing blue shorts and a blue sweater. It’s become this sort of shining-star inspirational outfit for menswear enthusiasts. Are you aware of this?

Ford responded, “I think I’m going to be ill.”

The actor, 82, admits he’s seen the famous image, though all he would say when asked if he’s a fan of his own previous look was, “I’ve grown out of it.”

And of his famous earring? “You know the story. I’d just had lunch with Jimmy Buffett and Ed Bradley. That’ll do it to you every time,” Ford said.

But with a look that iconic, it’s no surprise it’s resurfaced over the years.

“The one in the short shorts is probably my favourite picture of Harrison Ford,” an X (formerly Twitter) user wrote last year. Meanwhile, for Ford’s birthday in 2022, one fan shared, “Happy birthday to Harrison Ford but also specifically this version of Harrison Ford at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in short shorts”

Ford catapulted to stardom thanks to his role as Han Solo in the ’77 film “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.”

In the interview, Ford, who has been a fixture in the industry for decades, revealed how he decides what projects to pursue.

“It’s the quality of writing,” the actor notes.

“It doesn’t matter what the genre is. It doesn’t matter whether it’s on television or in movies. It’s the writing, it’s the story, it’s the character, it’s the emotional experience for an audience or for myself. It’s people that I have some feeling that I want to work with, or it’s a quality opportunity.”

The cast — including Jason Segal, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, and Luke Tennie, among others — celebrated the release of Season 2 at the premiere on Oct. 8.

The new highly-anticipated season drops on Oct. 16.
