Would the Canadiens send their struggling veterans to Laval? | HI/O Bonus

Could Josh Anderson, Christian Dvorak or Brendan Gallagher get the Joel Armia treatment if they struggle to start the season?

Last season, the Canadiens sent veteran forward Joel Armia down to the AHL’s Laval Rocket to start the season and then sent him down a second time before he finished the year with Montreal.

Is there any chance the Canadiens would send veteran forwards Josh Anderson, Christian Dvorak or Brendan Gallagher down to Laval if they struggle this season in order to open a spot for a younger player?

That’s the question answered on this Hockey Inside/Out Show Bonus episode as The Gazette’s Stu Cowan is joined by former Canadiens’ Chris Nilan and Rick Green, who were teammates on Montreal’s 1986 Stanley Cup team.

Nilan also speaks about the 49 games he spent with the AHL’s Nova Scotia Voyageurs in 1979-80 before getting called up by the Canadiens and Green speak about making the jump directly from junior to the NHL with the Washington Capitals with the No. 1 overall pick at the 1976 NHL Draft.
