Former New York Gov. David Paterson was spotted schmoozing with high-powered attorney Gloria Allred nearly a week after he and his stepson were attacked on a Manhattan street.
The politician, 70, and the legal eagle, 83, were seated next to each other at separate tables while dining at Fresco by Scotto Thursday night when they launched into an animated discussion about the assault, a spy tells Page Six exclusively.
“Gov. Paterson was sitting next to Allred, and they were seen in a heated conversation about the horrific attack that he encountered last Friday,” the insider shares, adding, “Allred was all ears and seemed to be giving him advice.”
We’re told Paterson ordered a cocktail and indulged in beet carpaccio and dover sole for dinner as well as tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert.
Meanwhile, Allred got salmon while out to eat with one of the original writers of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” Susan Silver.
Earlier in the day, Allred, who is known for defending survivors of sexual abuse, attended Sean “Diddy” Combs’ first court hearing in his sex-trafficking case.
She is representing an undisclosed number of alleged victims, including a woman named Thalia Graves, who recently sued the rapper, 54, for “violently” raping her in 2001.
We’re told X Corp CEO Linda Yaccarino also dined at the esteemed establishment owned by longtime “Good Day New York” co-host Rosanna Scotto on Thursday.
The right-hand to Elon Musk celebrated her daughter’s birthday with family and noshed on potato and zucchini chips.
Paterson’s lively evening with Allred comes after The Post exclusively reported that the 55th governor of New York and his 20-year-old stepson, Anthony Chester Sliwa, were attacked by three young suspects on the Upper East Side on Oct. 4.
Paterson and Sliwa were walking their dog when they encountered the perpetrators climbing a fire escape on Second Avenue near East 96th Street shortly before 9 p.m., sources said.
The duo confronted the youngsters and then walked away, only to be attacked by trio.
“I threw him into the window of McDonald’s [and] I hit him again,” Paterson told The Post Monday. “I put my hand on his face and smashed him into the window. He fell to the ground.”
Four people have been arrested in connection with the brawl: Travor Nurse, 40, who is accused of punching Paterson, as well as Diamond Minter, 34, and two unidentified boys, ages 12 and 13.
“The adults escalated the situation,” the ex-gov said. “The adults can rot in hell as far as I’m concerned.”
Sliwa suffered a severe face wound, while Paterson, who is legally blind, sustained a head injury.
Paterson served as New York’s governor from 2008 to 2010 and is married to Mary Paterson, the ex-wife of Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.
Anthony is the only son Curtis and Mary had together.
