Saskatoon police investigating Tuesday assaults involving hammers and a golf club

One man was struck with a golf club to the face; two others were attacked with hammers.

Shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to a report of “a man who was hit in the face with a golf club” in a park in the 300 block of McMillan Avenue, police said in a news release on Wednesday.

They found the injured man with a cut on his chin. He was taken to hospital.

Just after 6 p.m., officers received a report that a man was struck with a hammer outside a home in the 700 block of Appleby Drive.

Police said they believe the victim and suspect know each other.

Later that night, officers responded to a report of an injured man outside a business in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West.

“It is believed the man was assaulted by four unknown individuals while being struck by a hammer,” the release said.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
